Step back in history on board Sailing Barge Beric!

In their heyday Thames Sailing Barges were a predominant feature of our coastline. From the small East Coast ports, they transported goods up the Thames and into the heart of London's prospering dockland. 'Beric' was a fine example of that industrious era, principally plying grain and flour between Ipswich and London. Beric was one of the last sea-going wooden cargo vessels in Britain, trading up until 1977.
Today she has been extensively refurbished in total keeping with her original style and working tradition and is available for private charter for up to 12 passengers.
